Update: Jade still hasn't changed all that much. She had a fever yesterday.. it's lasting until today so far. She's no longer under deep sedation, but she's still sedated. Update as of Wednesday: No changes in her condition except that they found a cut on her left lung that wouldn't stop bleeding, so they put a chest tube in. Most of her brain injuries are located at the brain stem, I found out. I don't know what that means, so if anyone knows what it does mean, please tell me.

Update on Jade: They took her out of the deep sedation, and she was responding, but she keeps responding inappropriately. However, when they do bring her out of deep she also breathes a bit on her own. So, as of now, I think the plan is to keep her under the deep sedation for about a week and wait for her body to heal itself. Also, the bleeding ( Read more... )

The accident happened not even two blocks from her house, where she attempted to pull out from the street and didn't see the other driver coming on her left.
