I feel somewhat frustrated by the lack of concise data on recovery from spleenic injury... I've little doubt that my body can handle if I rupture it again by accident sometime, but it's sort of a pricey thing to heal from so I want to avoid it if possible. I don't want to jinx it or get cocky, but it's really seeming like I'll might actually heal up. It's been four weeks ago today that I ruptured my spleen and it looks like i'll be back at work in two weeks (and probably off all activity restrictions by december). Though often difficult, I think this was one of my favorite summers in memory. I spent it on the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation, a place as far southwest as you can go in Colorado without ending up in Arizona or New Mexico.
