Interstellar was pretty cool
The 'Interstellar' movie was pretty cool (and loud). Recommended. Most of the spaceships either looked like or maneuvered like the last Batmobile, but I guess that's to be expected. -
It's cold inside?
That was fun: got back from home yesterday to find it was in the 40's inside the house (20's outside): furnace had quit. Nice timing. Although I guess better for it to happen now than just before our during a trip ( Read more... ) -

Back issues
Back is out again. Primarily did it while digging holes for kinnikinnick; then it got worse. Doc put me on painkillers/muscle relaxsants/steroid pills this past Monday. Did not work out so well; yesterday morning it had gotten so bad Daniel had to take me to the emergency room. They gave me better drugs and advised I see a back specialist ( Read more... ) -
City of Heroes is shutdown.
The MMO City of heroes was shut down on Friday, Nov. 30. Said goodby to all of my characters, got in a last day of gaming with a lot of old Blacksburgian friends. Logged them off in places that seemed at least somewhat appropriate.

Had the splint taken off today, now with a wrist brace. Still can't use the hand for much. Hopefully will be able to at least squeeze the little ball they gave me in a few days.

Temporary leftie
This hasn't been a fun week. Took last monday off to do some work around the house; including re-arranging the drainage for one of the backyard downspouts. Stood on a lawn chair to reach a fitting. Should have used a ladder. Fell, landed poorly, broke right wrist. Spend rest of day at Steven's Hospital emergency room, where they tried to ( Read more... ) -
