So I executed day one of my Zero2Hero plan (as named on the blog I got the idea from) Monday. I am pretty badly out of shape, but I made it through almost 2 miles of run/walk alternation without death or steroids. I stopped the antibiotics Saturday at the instruction of my doctor. I don't know how long it takes them to exit the body, but last night was the worst yet. Happy New Years. Got really nauseated and felt like I was going to pass out, after eating half a package of top ramen. Fell asleep around 3am and have felt sort of alright today. Not eating ( Read more... )

Add pepto-bismol to the list of medication...

Still not feeling well. Nauseous. Don't want to take more antibiotics but have to. I called my doctor, who is really nice.. so I am thankful for that, and apparently I can take pepto-bismol which will hopefully help somewhat.

So it's 1am and I feel like crap. My stomach hurts and the antibiotics and stuff are making me feel generally bad fucked up beyond belief. Maybe I am feeling the bacteria die. My doctor's office called about 20 minutes ago, the blood test for H. Pylori came back positive. So I have a bacterial infection in my upper digestive system. Treatment is two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor twice daily for two weeks. Which sucks, that’s a lot of pills... Eight pills a day, with food.
