Hardware woes
So I struggled with my hard drive all night, and Dad struggled with it all morning, and we eventually resolved that it was just defective. He took it back to Staples and they gave him a new one, and it apparently works.
I installed a sound card that Dad had lying on a shelf, and it also appears to be defective. While at Staples, he bought a new one ( Read more... ) -
Movie traditons
I guess I forgot to mention that last night (i.e. Friday night), we watched the George C. Scott A Christmas Carol, which has become our holiday tradition.
A week or so ago, we watched It's A Wonderful Life, one of the most wonderful movies ever. I'd like for it to become a tradition in our family; it certainly will be in mine.

Good news, everyone!
I made sausage balls again this morning. All by myself. Well, except for John helping me ball them. So not only did I make breakfast; but I taught John how to make breakfast.

Under the guidance of Mom, I've been learning to cook.
A week or so ago, I made lasagna. It was easy! For the last castle party, I was the one who made Mom's Famous Bean Dip™. I've been helping with Christmas cookies.

Hooked on Scrobbles
Okay, I guess I was warned, but I'm totally hooked on Last.fm. Reading the biographies of what I'm listening to, I'm learning things I never even knew about my favorite artists - it just goes to show that I pay all my attention to the music and not the people. And I've been tagging like mad, and marking my favorite songs, and exploring other people ( Read more... ) -

So I finally gave in and signed up for last.fm. You can now see what I'm listening to. That, to tell the truth, is precisely the reason I never signed up for it until now. I didn't want anybody to see what I was listening to. Because that can be embarrassing. I imagined people saying, "Ewww, you listen to __________?" If you do that, I will bite ( Read more... ) -

Grades weren't supposed to come out until Thursday, but thanks to our wonderfully inept computer people (and a little help from flameth), I found my grade entered prematurely into my academic transcript.
