When self-engineering my home recordings, I often have trouble getting a guitar sound that I like. I don't think this is the gears fault, my rig is pretty flexible. The problem is simply that I need to hear the guitar playing in order to set the controls right, but when I'm playing the guitar, I can't also be fussing with the controls. Further ( Read more... ) -

Much as I love my gal Faith, I'd never thought much of her stock bridge pins. They were generic white plastic, and had gotten pretty gnarled over her twenty-five years, so that I was beginning to worry about bridge plate damage due to poor string seating ( Read more... )
