I have no clue where this angsty bit of gak came from, but it rattled around in my head for a couple weeks, so now I'm coughing it up. Sorta like a hairball. ;-) Just keep in mind this is years in the future.

This has so many elements that just get me. There is a quietude, a subtlety in this telling of grief. The dream is fantastic! Everything is so very in chararecter. And the bit about Jacks letters allowing then to know places they'll never see, is so very lovely.

Gosh ... wow ... Hush my mouth and call me corn pone. *G* You guys have blown me and both oars right out of the water! I can't believe anybody liked this! LOL, heck, I don't even like character-death fics, so it was terribly disconcerting to me that I wrote one. Well, all I can say is "Thank You" to all of you. I am very pleased if this bizarre vignette did not scare everyone off, and even more pleased if it miraculously managed not to bludgeon anybody over the head on the way past. ;-) Thanks, mates!

Really lovely, just as every other thing you have written. I do not believe Jack would be SAD about dying, and you have conveyed that well. Congrats

I don't care what you say, this is AWESOME. It's an amazing story and it portrays the characters very faithfully. I love it!!!

Here on fabu's rec. And I'm very glad I did. I liked that a lot. May have to come up with some more coherent comments later so I can review it on the GenFicCrit mailing list.
