Part 1 Part 2A Part 2B Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 He had immediately phoned Leeteuk the moment he had received the text message, hoping the other could track where the message had been sent from. Siwon was still waiting for a reply to that. He sat in his car mind running through places that Zeus could have taken Kyuhyun, but the lack of information did nothing to help him pinpoint a location.
It’s no use Siwon. I’ve got him.
The text message hadn’t been unable to leave his mind.
Why had he let his emotions get the better of him? Kyuhyun could be getting hurt because of him, and Siwon wanted to punch himself because what if he was too late and never saw his most precious person again? God, the mere thought of not seeing Kyuhyun left his heart beating painfully. He glanced at his watch, 2:37pm. It had been ten minutes since he called Leeteuk, maybe he should phone him again, damn it all, he needed something quickly to track down-
Wait. Track…tracker… The tracker he had placed on Kyuhyun’s watch!
Resisting the urge to slap himself for taking this long to remember the little bug Eunhyuk had told him to place on the others watch, he immediately brought out the component device that he had linked it to in the beginning his hand fumbling in his haste.
Siwon could feel the fear that he’d taken too long rush through him as he waited for the device to locate the tracker -what happened if they noticed the tracker and hurt Kyuhyun for it? His head throbbed with scenarios.
Soon a distinct beep filled the air and Siwon gazed intently upon the co-ordinates. X-234 Y-143. Sending a quick text to tell Leeteuk to not bother with the trace and the co-ordinates, Siwon started his car.
He prayed he’d get there in time.
--
Of course it would be a multi-storey warehouse they’d use, although he had been expecting a grander hideout. Siwon parked his car, hidden in the nearby woodland and observed what he could of the ground level, he was just close far away enough to not be detected. There didn’t seem to be much security, only four guards, two standing at the only apparent entrance and two patrolling the area around the rest of the perimeter.
The woods that it was situated nearby in had grown to such a point that the entire back of the warehouse was completely out as a way in. The only entrance being the front one, maybe the security wasn’t quite as easy to infiltrate; although the lack of cameras and anything else to protect it put him on edge.
Siwon glanced at his watch.
3:48pm, he didn’t have time to wait for the back-up Leeteuk had said would be arriving soon.
After sending the text he’d received one almost immediate from the older man who’d told him not to rush in and to wait for backup; but he couldn’t sit and wait when Kyuhyun could be in there. Decision made he grabbed the gun in his car and moved out of the forest
He hid moved quietly to the tree near the edge and waited. He’d deduced that the guards where only walking certain paces before repeating their parameters; in particular was one that moved towards the fringes of the forest. A small voice told him that this was far too lax for the supposedly most powerful underground group but chose not to look too deeply at his luck; something he knew would have had him demoted for even thinking about risking his life and disobeying commands to wait for back up.
Shaking his mind to focus he frowned when the guard he had been targeting didn’t appear. This made no sense, in the twenty minutes he’d been observing them they hadn’t strayed from the rigid pattern. His instincts kicked in as a twig snapped behind him and a curse but despite his reaction he wasn’t quick enough for the sudden attack.
Siwon grunted as he was tackled from behind. He quickly tried to reverse the tackle and managed to pin the man down only to gape at the scowling face below his.
“Oh it’s you. Sorry and all that. Can you hurry up and get off me now? You’re not as thin as you think you are.”
Moving back slowly he stared at Heechul.
“Why are you here?” Heechul glared at him, making a shushing motion and pulling him down.
“I’ve been trying to infiltrate the group by going undercover. Why are you here, I thought you were busy with your boyfriend~”
He blushed at the lecherous look Heechul was giving him.
“How do you even know about that!?”
The other man waved a hand dismissively. “Leeteuk is awfully chatty when he’s drunk.”
Siwon resisted asking more, he had to focus.
“Get me inside.” Heechul’s scowl reappeared. “What? No. Leeteuk said nothing about another agent working with me. I can’t jeopardize my-“
“They have Kyuhyun and I need to save him.” Heechul raised an eyebrow at this. “Yah, Siwon he’s just a target anyways, Leeteuk told us the evidence they found so he’s probably just in there-“
“He’s not! Zeus contacted me directly. Heechul, please, someone important to me is in there and I need to save them. Just get me inside and you can leave.”
Heechul seemed shocked by his serious attitude and released a huff. “God, you are so bloody dramatic sometimes.”
Just as Siwon was about to reply in gratitude the sudden crackle of static made both of them jump.
“Where are you -? I repeat has your position been compromised?” Heechul shot a warning look at Siwon before switching his walkie talkie on. “No. Code 89; I think he’s an agent, Contact Zeus.”
As soon as he clicked off the radio, Heechul turned to him a serious expression on his face. “Here’s the plan, if you want to get in then do what I say.”
--
Siwon felt uneasy, it had been far too easy getting to Kyuhyun. The tracker indicated he was in the room right in front. Heechul was tapping his foot impatiently, looking as if he wanted to shoot Siwon himself, at his hesitance to enter.
They had entered through the front entrance thanks to the other man’s quick thinking: Siwon acting as if he’d been captured and Heechul was to take him to Zeus. Heechul had filled him in as they wandered the hallways, apparently Zeus had only recently relocated headquarters and most of his men was still at the old one. Heechul had only recently been initiated and thus placed as an outside guard. Although he’d been unsure as to why Zeus had decided to relocate, no one seemed to know; Heechul had said that many of the higher ranked ones thought the man was mad.
What had worried Siwon though was how convenient everything was.
“For God’s sake, Can I open the door yet?”
“Don’t use God’s name in vain.” He wasn’t surprised at the whack he got for that one. With a deep breath, his gun hidden in its holster, and sense of dread he nodded for Heechul to enter.
He found himself facing an unfamiliar face. It was a soft face, one that Siwon wouldn’t have placed as the leader of killers and drug-dealers. A quick scan of the almost empty room, save for the single light in the middle where a figure stood there was no sign of Kyuhyun.
“Who is it?” Heechul pushed him forward roughly, their act still going.
“I caught an agent, here he is Sir.” Zeus seemed to light up gleefully before moving forward to him, when he was within arm’s reach Siwon immediately shot out of the loose hold Heechul had on him and held the slighter man in a strong grip, his gun pointing at his temple.
“Put your hands on your head and tell me where Kyuhyun is.”
The man cackled insanely relaxing in his hold even as Heechul pulled out his gun.
“My identity is so compromised right now.” Zeus ignored him in favour of craning his head to stare at Siwon.
“Really now is this necessary! Although I do enjoy the code name you gave me, Zeus, king of the Gods. Fitting for someone like me-”
“Where is Kyuhyun?”
“Patience~ Mortals really don’t understand this virtue… You shouldn’t push your God! I’ll overlook this for now.”
“Oh for- Who are you? You don’t seriously think your actually Zeus do you?” The man gave a frown towards Heechul. “Foolish mortal, why would you name me as such if I were not…I have my Olympia here and soon I will kill all my enemies for disobeying me. After all I took all their businesses and therefore their wealth easily enough!”
Siwon took of the safety although Zeus didn’t even seem to notice as he bounced about in his hold before speaking.
“Poseidon. Take care of the boring one and get rid of the weapons.”
Siwon felt someone the cold barrel of a gun pointed at him as Heechul who had been standing at the entrance was pinned down from behind before taken out of the room, his curses fading slowly.
“Drop the gun.”
He dropped his gun hesitantly and watched as another henchman picked it up; Siwon was turned roughly to see the gaudy throne in the middle of the room. Zeus delicately sat upon it before waving a hand regally.
“Welcome esteemed guest, your name?”
Siwon refused to say anything instead glaring defiantly at him. He saw the punch coming his way but couldn’t dodge as the gun dug into his head threateningly. Zeus sighed.
“Why make this difficult? It’s fine, I know your name. Choi Siwon. Kneel before your God~”
“Only if you let Kyuhyun go.” Zeus cackled at that. “Don’t you ever talk about something other than that brat?” He frowned. “Kneel.”
“He told you to kneel.” He felt a boot kick him on the back even as the gun clicked warningly. Siwon gritted his teeth before kneeling reluctantly.
“That’s better! So tell me what team are you in? I know SM likes putting you guys in them! You look like an Alpha…maybe Beta?”
“Let him go, he hasn’t done anything to you!” Ignoring his words Zeus merely continued. “Fine we’ll move on from your teams, SM…what does it stand for?”
“Let him go.”
Zeus shot a bored look at Poseidon who merely placed his gun more firmly to Siwon’s head.
“I’m bored of his repetitive answers. I thought you’d be interesting Siwon, how disappointing.” The man let out a long sigh. “I wanted to amuse myself with an SM agent, after all you are all supposedly the best of the best. How bland and ignorant you appear though. Get him out of my sight.”
“With pleasure.”
Just when Siwon thought he was about to die a sudden explosion rocked the building.
“Poseidon! What is going on?” The stoic man immediately started to shout orders into his phone, gun still not wavering from Siwon’s head, but before he finished the entrance opened for a split second before the room was suddenly filled with bright light blinding everyone inside. A flash bang Siwon’s brain helpfully supplied as he scrunched his eyes up in pain.
“POSEIDON!” Zeus’s angry cry was futile. The bright light gone Siwon blinked a few times before slowly standing, the pressure of Poseidon’s gun gone.
“Siwon! Are you okay?” His vision back he could feel relief at seeing familiar faces. Team Beta. He nodded an affirmative to Sungmin he was holding down Poseidon. Heechul was limping slightly although seemed to be enjoying the turn of events, Hangeng supporting him whilst Yesung shouted out orders to the other various SM agents in the room.
No time to waste. He moved to pick up the man’s fallen gun and stood over the cowering Zeus who was behind his throne. He aimed the gun.
“Where is Kyuhyun?”
The man quivered his confidence gone, especially with his right-hand man down. “I have no need to tell a mortal-“
“I will kill you.”
“I’ll give you the information!”
Siwon placed his safety back on and stared blankly at the psychopath. “Where is he?” Zeus bit his lip before speaking.
“He’s been at his little house the whole time.”
“Stop lying, why did the tracker lead me here -“
“Such fools you mortals are! I, Zeus, will enlighten you.” Zeus laughed the fear gone and replaced with a sick excitement. “You don’t think Zhou Mi wouldn’t have noticed the tracker you placed? Of course I had him bring it to me; he noticed you had no use for it because you were with the brat the whole time…until now! “Siwon merely stared as his mind refuted the others claims.
“How can I trust you?” Zeus cackled his hand made a sweeping gesture despite lying on the ground before he continued. “You can’t but do you really have time to waste? If I’m telling the truth he could be dead by now~ After all I gave Zhou Mi orders.” The crazy man suddenly jumped up, everyone’s guns immediately aimed at him. Unfazed he whipped out the tiny tracker.
“Here have the tracker back. You can even look through the entire building and you won’t find him.”
Siwon felt rage bubble in him at the thought of how much time he had wasted.
“What was the entire point!?”
Zeus laughed manically at this point his eyes darting everywhere as he laid by Siwon’s feet, looking relaxed.
“Why do people always need a reason for everything? I’m ‘Zeus’, God of all! I do things on a whim!”
Siwon looked at him in disgust before turning around, Heechul and the others could take care of this situation however as he moved away a shot rang out in the air.
“What…?” He turned around only to see Zeus clutching his hand in pain a knife glinting near his feet, blood dripping from a gunshot wound. Siwon turned again to see Heechul causally placing his gun back on safety.
“He pissed me off.” Heechul rolled his eyes at the stares. “He wouldn’t shut up. Plus he hurt an agent, self-defense!” He moved to go make sure the lunatic stayed down.
“Siwon I know you want to go save him but you almost got Heechul and yourself killed earlier! You should wait for backup.”
Siwon merely shook his head at Sungmin’s concern and moved towards the door. Not bothering with words he ignored the others and ran to the staircase, he had to get to Kyuhyun.
