Washington school calendar forgets Christmas

If there's one thing I know - you DO NOT mess with X-Mas, not in this age of arguments about holiday trees and appropriate greetings.

So on some days I get so starved for human contact that I strike up conversations with total strangers at the grocery store; this has been my way to replace college as my primary social outlet.

Although, you have to keep the conversations about groceries and under 30 seconds, or you tend to make people nervous.
