This is a river and sky photo I took in January. We have just started to have some beautiful sunrises again- since mid-March. Looking through my photos, though, I had forgotten how lovely the sky can look in the deep - but never bleak- midwinter

Yesterday I drove back to Essex from my mother's via New Buckenham and Diss, because the A140 was closed at Pulham Market. Stopped at the garage where you can get the key for the castle, as thought I would have a quick wander round, before the afternoon started to fade, but no reply, except from resident dog.
