I found out, this morning, that Bishop Michael Evans (bishop of East Anglia, the diocese in which I live) died on Monday. Government healthcare / what it's like living in a death-list state

At some point near 2.30 this morning, I caught my third child as he was born, somewhat unexpectedly, in our living room. 4.46kg (or 9lb 13oz old money)

Gender dysphoria on Channel 4
I have just watched Age 8 and wanting a sex change. I know it aired 2 days ago, but I taped it. Anyway, it is nice to see gender dysphoria on the telly in a serious documentary. The problem I had with it, and this is a biggie (it rendered it nearly unwatchable for me), was the fact that the narrator kept referring to everyone by natal pronouns ( Read more... ) -

The loop, vindicated
For two years, up to September 1999, I flew gliders from Lasham airfield. I got quite good at it, achieving the BGA "B badge" (solo flight, with soaring), and a flight that was over an hour.
