The "free hugs" movement we "joined" was amazing. I've always been sort of shy when it comes to strangers, but this helped me break all boundaries, as I'm sure it helped them as well. I'm leaving for Mexico on Friday at 5:45 am!! Will be there until Saturday night. We're going for my international economics class--a field trip! The only thing i didn't realize, before i made plans for this trip, is that i have FIVE midterms next week! I think I have strep throat. I woke up this morning w/ a very sore throat and it just got worse as time passed. i helped drive some furniture around..adn the heat in the minivan (plus some nervousness of driving my uncle's car) really took a toll on my body. so we spent HOURS at the supermarket today. It's very cool--the supermarket is located inside a huge mall! We bought TONS and TONS of candy, about thirty lbs worth of this chocolate spread 'Nutella" (that's like our peanut butter..but TEN TIMES BETTER!), cookies, Pate(for family...i'm not too fond of liver spread..), and lots more sweets. We dedicated today to the Louvre. I wish I took art history in school so taht i could better appreciate the pieces. True, you can appreciate it for what it is...but I just think it'd be so much better if i knew the history behind all the paintings and sculptors.
