I think I truly love CS Lewis. Though he was an Anglican, his ideas are very Orthodox, and his writings are so clear and lucid that the things he says stick with me, without hardly any effort on my part.

...when you're looking through a book, researching for a paper, and you find the passage that is relevant, and then see that someone else had already underlined the exact parts that you wanted. It's like a connection to some stranger, and you wonder: what did they want it for? what did they think about this issue? to what conclusions did they come?

This is for the two anonymous people from the internet who found my page while looking for Kitchen Logic. I finally saw the poem on the bus today. I was starting to think they'd taken them all down, but there was at least one left in the city.

Just had this class this morning, and there were some very interesting points made about the conflation of language and ethnicity.
