Science question
Why is it hotter two months AFTER the longest day of the year than it is on the actual longest day of the year? Is it because heat builds up in the atmosphere and in the water?
Just wondering. -
I will not whine about the heat in this entry.
Once when I worked as a cashier at a grocery store, a youngish couple from Germany (I knew they were German from checking ID for alcohol - their English was fine) came through my line. They were very pleasant and thought it was so nice that I bagged their groceries for them. In Europe (at least the places I've been) you bag your own groceries. ( Read more... ) -

Holy crap the weather is freaky! It's raining cats and dogs, the thunder is coming in a continuous rumble and the lightning is frighteningly beautiful. -
9 am tomorrow
I have an interview with the principal of -- High School tomorrow morning at 9:00. I'm getting nervous, but mostly I feel good. I need to go home and wash my navy suit and make sure I have my portfolio together and a few extra copies of my resume. If looks could kill...
I feed the cat in the morning and my husband feeds her in the evening. She gets 1/4 cup each time and she is fit as a fiddle.
