I got the all-clear from my physical therapist and doctor to quit bandaging every day. I am officially re-epithelialized. Still some pain, but no open wounds. I just have to keep lotion on my hand all the time and keep it out of the sun. The doctor also said I could wear a cotton glove to protect it. So far I've only gotten a few Michael ( Read more... )

I'm really tired. I got back from Michigan yesterday afternoon. My SIL's wedding was beautiful, though hot. One of my husband's other sisters dressed my wound 3 or 4 times while we were there and she did a great job. not going to write mech because i only have one hand available. but need to whine a bit.

spilled hot grease on my hand cooking on saturday. 2nd degree burns on right hand. prognosis good but hand unusable and rehab is excruciatingly painful.

My back hurts so much. It's driving me crazy. I would rather be at home in bed than at work, but I don't have much sick leave or annual leave and I need to save it for my vacation next month.

Life is still pretty good, though. I'm trying not to let this ruin my day completely, but it's tough. I'm a wimp when it comes to pain.

Whoo hoo! I just found Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman on DVD at Netflix! Season One added to queue, baby!

I got a massage yesterday. My mom is a licensed massage therapist and she took care of me after hours at her place of employment (a chiropractor's office). My back is really messed up because I've been slouching bad at my desk at work. I can't believe El Chico closed!!! It was probably my second favorite restaurant in town - the best Tex-Mex in Tallahassee, in my opinion. At 3:00 PM today (about 5 minutes ago), it was 100.0 degrees F (37.8 C) at the Tallahassee Regional Airport. Ack!
