today, i miss watching the life aquatic at dave & buster's, stepping outside into the winter of denver, all snow and city lights and your hand, and my hand, our red knuckles, our chapped lips.

i saw a guy who looked like mike thompson today and felt horribly homesick. i missed dsa, and i missed denver, and i missed driving my fucking car, and i missed mike thompson.

MIKE THOMPSON, PEOPLE. clearly, i am unhinged.

goodbye denver.

it feels like almost-autumn, the air is getting cooler and sharper, it's starting to smell like leaves. my favorite time in denver and i'm going to miss it. of course in vermont it will be so much more beautiful than it is here but it won't be denver, it won't be my city, i won't get to walk down columbine on halloween afternoon and watch trashbag ( Read more... )

well, whoever likes movies about a) lesbians, b) english people or c) both should watch my summer of love. because it's summery and out-of-focusy and sincere and kind of heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. yes. that is my movie recommendation of the day.

i can't help thinking what if this is the last-- but i just have to pretend that i already know it won't be, that's comforting, somehow.
