The angsty parts after Arthur found out was very well done. Love the line about Merlin's heart breaking, and Arthur feeling it.

And the ending...such melancholy.
You have a very nice style that feels well-paced by not rushed or superficial.

I just stumbled across this and wanted to say how amazing this installment is. The image of Merlin alone in the dark, kept alive by the beating of Arthur's heart, is incredibly powerful. I'm off to read the rest now, but I couldn't pass by this without expressing my admiration. This is absolutely epic storytelling.
