-here is the result of the poll. since the majority answered yes, we'll allow people to rec already written fics outside of epm that they think matches the prompts. (surveymonkey only allows basic accounts to count the first 100 responses but the difference is still high enough that even if the 39 unaccounted for responses answered no, the majority would still be yes)
-the prompters can also mention if they don't want recs and would only want actual fills written specifically for their prompts and everyone should respect that. but for everything else with no such disclaimer, fic recs are now allowed.
-there would be no need to ask the permission of the authors, as long as those fics are posted on a public account you can link them here since they would only be posted as recs anyway.
-please put a "[fic rec]" label on the subject line when posting recs and "[fill]" when posting actual fills
-filling for prompts that already have fic recs posted for them is still encouraged, it's just like having multiple fills
-and also a reminder about another issue, when you see someone breaking the rules please respond to them politely if you want to call them out. some are probably just new here and are still not fully aware of how we usually do things. being unnecessarily hostile because of a simple mistake just brings negativity. the best thing to do is just bring them to my attention on the mod post so i can deal with them myself.
