[Eirin was her neighbor, and Dlanor spares a few seconds as she walks by to pause and think about her. She'd fatally shot Dlanor in the head not two weeks after her arrival, but all things considered she hadn't been a bad person, really.

Wait, who is that person?

Battle nun, meet battle nun.]

[so i herd u r an inquisitor

...well vampires and witches. they're not the same thing, but...

DETAILS RIGHT??? how can this possibly go wrong

Yep she's in her nun robes and you may pick them out to be catholic ones. Since Ciel was under Eirin's apprenticeship for dealing with herbs and medicine, and apparently there has been no one else, she 'inherited' all that she had and was sorting through what the doctor has left. If it's there and she can use it to help others trapped here, then she'll carry on.

....Oh hey there.]

Good evening, miss. ...You knew doctor Yagokoro, I would presume?

She has left Mayfield and returned to her world. [in other words, permanently droned.]

A-ah. Has she? Are you certain it's for good...?

I am. The only things remaining are her medicinal herbs; her personal belongings all vanished. [Most notably her kyuudo gear.]

Ah, w-well, at least she's gone home. She was always very nice to me.

Yes, she's no doubt better off now.

Have you ever been under her medical care, if I may ask?

[oh sup 'Nam didn't expect to see you there. She'll ditch the hard lineface because this is someone she knows.]

Good afternoon, miss Sen. May I help you? [She's no history expert but she knew enough that Christianity wasn't exactly popular in Asia. The light cocking of eyebrow does show her faint surprise, though she won't remark out loud.]

[Christianity leaves a bad taste in her mouth; bad memories of being a French colony. yeah. she looks pretty uncomfortable in the setting, but...] I came to discuss what you talked about on the phone. About vampires...

S-sorry...]

I see, I would like that. [...] Would you like to talk somewhere else? There is a bland and common guest room in the back.

If you find a vampire, what do you plan on doing?

Reply

expiatrice December 3 2010, 22:22:01 UTC
That would depend on what I find it doing, too.

[She's hesitant about responding to Ciel's call. If it were only Charles she was dealing with, she wouldn't. But Luciano from the other night hadn't even heard of chiroptera, and now this...]

Their world of origin?

[Chiropterans sound like a race name for a variant of apes. Why are Your Vampires So Different. :|] Yes. Mayfield takes individuals from all manners of worlds, so it also drew in vampires from various planes where the laws for blood drinkers function differently. They would all be vampires, but more specific properties may vary, such as how they're called exactly and their reaction to common superstition, like holy water, sunlight, crosses, and so on.

[At least they don't sparkle.

Could that be it, then? Why Luciano didn't know about the chiroptera.]

I've never heard of those superstitions.

[oh god ANYTHING BUT THAT at least they'd be a cinch to kill]

You haven't? Those are the most common ones, that vampires cannot walk under sunlight, they would recoil at crosses, and would react to holy water like humans would to acid. A stake through the heart would be the way to kill them too, according to the most famous stories and legends. Would you know them differently, miss?
