P.S. When I do write, it is usually using Dragon, a speech recognition software. This can make for strange sentences when there's not time for a full edit.

on days like today
when tiny daisies and dandelions, fuzzy yellow spill down the green hill
in the park near our home
the smell of spring blossoms in the air and the sunshine on my face
i feel like i won the best prize of all
just getting to be alive and experience this world
and i never ever want it to end.

Sometimes this shell between me and the world is so heartbreakingly thin.

other times, i look at my cat meowing at the door (which he can't go out at night because he *always* gets in a fight) and think

"what the hell am I complaining about?  at least i can go outside whenever i want!"

I found/modified the best recipe for a gluten-free raspberry cake the other day.  It's yumminess is contingent upon copious quantities of eggs, butter & sour cream :)
