it's '50s throwback night!
I had this roasted chicken from a couple of days ago, and as a way to use up the meat, I called my mom and got her recipe for one of our family's classic post-Thanksgiving Day meals, Turkey Curry Casserole. goodbye, sweet baby girl
I've said this in other places, but not all of you are there, so...I had my cat Sable put to sleep earlier this week. My baby girl is gone, and I miss her so very much. I know that it was the best decision and all that good stuff, and I knew for a long time that it would be coming, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. I stopped by my favorite LYS yesterday and modeled my latest FO for them, Ariann. It was knit in Blue Moon Fiber Arts' Woobu, colorway Motley Hue. When that batch of yarn came in, everyone else looked at it and was underwhelmed, to say the least. I'm a winner! Now I just need to figure out how to spend it! I would loveto put it towards one of the Namaste bags, but a) which one???, and b) I saw a super-cute gym bag at the Nike store yesterday and Ray took me by the shoulders, pointed out that I have about 4 bags on the kitchen table already, and I need to get rid of at least 3 before I buy a ( Read more... ) -
cat update
Ended up hauling both cats in to the vet. First was Zoe, because it was time for a checkup anyway, plus the pee that was on the floor seemed stronger than Sable's would be. I know way more about this topic than I want to. She gets lots of tests, including her thyroid levels. Next day, vet calls back and says she's fine, although her thyroid levels ( Read more... ) -
