This semester was awful. Just at the beginning, my grandmother died. The day after that (or perhaps the day before, it's all muddled now), my landlord told us that they were selling the house. This led to looking for a new rental, and then deciding to buy. Which meant we spent the next almost 2 months looking for a house. While trying to keep up ( Read more... ) -

and now it's June
So here we are, June 2012. SFSU now has proof that I won't die of measles/mumps/rubella, so there are no holds on my account, and I can register for classes on July 31. Right now, I'm looking at ( Read more... ) -
Well.
So...I didn't get into the program at SJSU that I mentioned in the last post (we won't talk about how long ago that was), but I did get into the MSA program at San Francisco State. I'll be starting that in August.

It seems like too much work to write anything lately. I feel like there's nothing of interest to write about, which either says something about my life, or my emotional state. I'll let you decide which.

allergies?
I may have some sort of allergy to ... something. The last couple of days my lips have felt severely chapped, and finally this morning I took a look in the mirror and realized that my upper lip is covered in little tiny blisters. It's not at all like a cold sore/fever blister/herpes, because those are in one spot; with this, my whole lip is swollen ( Read more... ) -

My grandfather died this morning. It wasn't unexpected, he's been in decline for a while now, but it's still sad. I'm glad I had the opportunity to see him a couple of weeks ago, even if he didn't recognize me.
Anyway, off to the East Coast again shortly.

well THAT was fun
Last night, it was kind of stormy (and dark!) with rain and wind, which is probably what caused the power to go out sometime between 11 and midnight. We were up and watching something on the DVR, and I swear it had about THREE MINUTES left on it, when *ZAP* everything went dark. Waited a few seconds, *ZAP* it came back on. Then it went out again.
