Motherboy - FFA Post #179

Why hasn't Motherboy, the traditional dance attended by a woman and her son, taken off in fandom? It's not any wackier than a coffeeshop AU.

So, there's thing inspired by an XKCD comic called the Up-goer 5, which you can find here: http://splasho.com/upgoer5/

It spellchecks your writing so that you have to create sentences using only the 1000 most commonly used words in the English language. Some of the movie descriptions done with it are hilarious, and I want to see what meme can come up with! So, if you're in the mood, write a description of your favorite canons using the Up-Goer 5 and let other nonnies try to guess what it is.

[An easy one to start]A boy has really good powers but lives with a bad family in a small place. His uncle and aunt hit him and give him no food many times. One day it is the day he became a baby. A flying animal is at his door with a letter. It is a letter for good school in a big big house far away where there is an old man and many children. His uncle and aunt are really mad and they all drive away to a little house far away. A big man with a pink rain thing comes and makes his not brother a pink heavy ... )

A mean woman dies because she hurt a boy and his father was mad at her (or because important people didn't like her, or because she was sick). No one knows what to do without her, so they make her again, and then she's a baby. Everyone is afraid that the boy will hurt the baby because he was mad at the woman she was, so they are bad to him and he is scared all the time, except for when he is with his not-brother who loves him. The baby grows up into a girl who knows a lot of things about people and how to make them do things for her, which is good because the woman she was had money and power, and a lot of people don't want the girl to take them back. But she has friends who like her and keep her safe. The boy and his not-brother are her friends, even though she goes wrong sometimes and makes them sad. Also, space business.

A news writing man who once saw the killing of a really well known good-looking music person during a show is asked, years later, to find out what happened to that music person after his killing was found out to be a lie. In his trip to find out the truth, the news writing man comes across a number of people who were close to but eventually thrown away by the music person during his time of becoming really well known. Finally it turns out that the man who runs the area really doesn't want the news writing man to find out who the music person is now and tries to cover it up! The news writing man finds out anyway, but does not get to write his story.

There are also bright space cars which may or may not be meant to stand for something else, I do not know. Apparently a really well known writing man from a hundred years ago actually came from one of these space cars.

(Thank you for linking this site, nonnie, I'm reading the movie descriptions tumblr right now and it is wonderful.)

I almost just posted the first paragraph, but decided that it would be a huge mistake to not at least mention the glitter UFOs.

These books are about people on another world where bad rain falls from the sky that hurts the people it falls on, and burns the trees, too. The people make friends with flying animals that breathe fire. They can't talk to them out loud, but some people can make friends with one of these flying fire-breathing animals, and talk into their brains, and the animals talk back into the human's brain. They can also fly from one place to another very fast by going through a cold space called 'between'.

When the bad burning rain falls, the people ride on the fire-breathing flying animals, and they breathe fire at the bad rain and that makes it go away!

(This is way too much fun.)
