I was on vacation last week, so I finally had a chance to test-drive the new sewing room.  It's fabulous, I tell you, fabulous!  Everything is within reach, the lighting is excellent, and it's even easier to sew a straight line now that I have a true flatbed cabinet instead of a portable machine sitting on top of the dining room table.  The only

I am positive that Randy is thrilled that he has "new clothes" to wear!! I don't have the fancy set up you do, my sewing machine and serger are on a "lunch room" table but I love the idea of not having to put everything away when I am done sewing for the evening. I still cut out on the dining room table too, and like you, it's really not to terribly inconvenient, I just wish the table were a few inches higher, then I wouldn't have to stoop at all. I've made Bill a few new shirts (really just practice shirts on new patterns I am making for AYLI - but he loves them!) I am not sure if I will have time before MDRF to make myself anything new, but that's OK.

Thanks! I think he's more surprised that I'm making stuff for him and not myself, but he's due.

So what new patterns are you using? Do you like them?
