Felt half dead for most of the weekend - ugh!! - it must be the heat and the change in routine... I had meant to wake up earlyish on Saturday morning to meet a friend for some dance practice - only to find that I just couldn't drag myself out of bed (and I even fell asleep twice when trying to send her a text that I wouldn't be making it in. While most other teachers have had six blissful weeks of uninterrupted school holidays, mine only started over a month later than most on the 16th of January 2009, leaving me with just under two weeks to rest up for the start of a new academic year. Ahhhh, so the holidays have drawn to an end once again (unfortunately). Having to wake up early the past two days has been a very rude shock to the system, after having spent the last two weeks sleeping in. My mum is so difficult to deal with. Whatever I do is wrong and/or not good enough, that I got to the stage where I stopped trying to please her or seek her approval so that I wouldn't get disappointed. So I survived my end of term music concert tonight (...and now I am completely shattered!!)  It was *such* a long day today, as I was at school at 7.15am for senior band at only got home at 10.45pm after packing up stuff after the concert. Finished reports last week and tomorrow night is my end of term concert. There's also our open reporting day this Friday and then all the "official school stuff" for the term will be taken care of.
