My external's comments on my thesis were excellent: thorough, insightful, thought-provoking---she put her finger on every aspect of the dissertation I'd already had my own questions about and replicated those questions with more depth and nuance. Fabulous. If I can manage to keep my cool during my defense, I might actually have a good time. -

I think I must have walked 20k today, all told: I took a train to Seaford and trekked from Seaford to Alfriston and back, up Seaford Head past the Seven Sisters, crossing through the Friston Forest and up the South Downs, then descending down the Cuckmere River ( Read more... ) -
