Merry Christmas everyone (yes i'm not completely dead).

Here, have a big lump of coal my list of games 2013.

Enjoying a few days off i finally find some time to write (about) stuff again. There's been a lot of "media" thingies in my head lately and i wanted to share the thoughts - also this LJ is in desperate need of content, so here goes. :)

With games like Resident Evil 6 tending more and more towards action (at the cost of suspense) and being financially successful at that i finally wonder if "my" generation finally separated itself from the so-called "Modern Warfare-Kids" generation in terms of the general game-taste (not genre, mind you!). WOW! I really think there is a huge market gap for stable and reliable video editing software out there. Here's what i tried so far:

Lightworks 11: Free and Open Source, but way too complex to grasp. Doesn't even accept the most common video input files = No go!
Nero Video: Crashed occasionally, doesn't produce proper video output in terms of ( Read more... )

Wow, TF2 with Co-Op? Valve sure knows how to get me back to playing this game again. :D

The new deviation display of DA is a nice example of "function follows design" - especially when you watch groups with a lot of new images (> 2) the single image takes a LOOOOT of space and involves too much scrolling. Hope they revert this soon. :-(
