I'm posting this from my new phone. I cheaped out and didn't get the cool touchscreen phone that Kevin got, but this will do for my purposes. When I have wifi I'll still use the iPod Touch.

I'm back from Cleveland after attending the National Barbie Convention. No convention goes off without a hitch, but I think this one was better organized than last year's. Any complaints I had were mostly due to the hotel; I'll take modern conveniences (e.g. more than one bank of elevators, a fan in the bathroom) over "historical architecture" any ( Read more... )

I see that I've failed to post at all this month. We're suffering through our second heat wave and my brain is fried.

We visited with my family at the beginning of July to celebrate my Mom's birthday and take in some neat exhibits at the Peabody Essex Museum. We also met our friends Sarah and Andy, along with Andy's daughter, to see Toy Story 3. ( Read more... )

On Saturday, we had tickets to see Weird Al up in the Lakes region of New Hampshire, an area where Kevin used to vacation with his family. It rained all day Saturday, so we were unable to visit the zoo. Instead we saw The A-Team and visited our favorite liquor store, Julio's. I picked up a variety 12-pack of Woodchuck Cider and discovered that the mystery variety (besides Amber, Dark & Dry, and Granny Smith) was a Limited Edition Spring Cider that I had missed in stores.
