I believe we have identified the "witch ducks" we first saw a few weeks ago in Woonsocket, RI as Muscovy ducks. We visited them again today, after our midday meal at New York Lunch, and Kevin captured them in photo and video. We also saw more Mallard ducks, including a female with her young. It was a good day for baby bird sightings!

Last Saturday, after playing tennis, we walked to our local pond to feed the birds. We often see a pair of swans, sometimes with a single, full-grown offspring, but that day we saw little cygnets - four of them! Wow, I've been pretty pathetic about posting. Partly it's because we haven't done anything particularly exciting since we got back from the cruise...unless you count a Silver Spoons marathon and an Elvis Costello concert.

We didn't dock at Grand Turk until noon on Friday. We applied sunblock liberally and headed out for a sunny day on the beach...only I inexplicably missed a patch on one leg and got a serious sunburn that is still peeling.

This entry will be a short one. I woke up Thursday morning with stomach cramps, and it was a rainy day in San Juan. After a mild breakfast, I decided I wasn't up to going ashore.
