to be on Job Seeker's Allowance! I get to have my eyes tested for free and with the Specsaver's special offer I get 4 pairs of glasses (two spare in each kind) for just £65 :D

Mercenary or practical?
I made a start on sorting His clothes this week and today I sold 4 black bags full of the good stuff (mostly unworn) to the cash for clothes people who came to the house. Daughter's birthday ....
and I spent the day with her in Newport. Different city = same result!! I came away with more wool and books :D I really think I ought to stop doing that but for some reason she and I tend to drift into craft shops and bookshops and suddenly our bags are full. Don't know how it happens, must be osmosis or something! -

I went to see the specialist job advisor today. He took down all sorts of details on my lack of mobility etc. and gave me lots of different places to go for help. He even advised me to start my own business selling my specialised character amigurumi dolls, with a few contact numbers to get specialised advice on setting up a business ( Read more... ) -

The weirdest thing
At the beginning of the week I loaned my iff card to my son who used it with a weekly pass for the bus. Today he got on the bus and the driver took it off him saying it had been hotlisted and we had to go sort it out. Halloween Funeral
Hubby would have been very proud of his children today - they were so there for me when I needed it today. The service was good except that the celebrant made a few errors. Said my name wrong and got his date of birth wrong, but that was so typical that he would have been laughing over it. No one ever gets my name right at first and it's not like ( Read more... ) -

Had my first ever visit to the jobcentre today - I am now officially looking for work. This of course meant I had to do a CV. Can anyone say "horse pucky"? I did more than that whilst trying to write it that's for sure ( Read more... )
