yee haw...the roller coaster of being a caretaker
So...another reason why I don't think my husband should be driving. He has no idea how to take his medications...not the ones I put in on a weekly basis...the PM/AM 7-day a week pill keeper...that I understand. But then on the other side of our counter is the "as-needed" medications; the ibuprofen and his prescription of Tylenol with codeine. ( Read more... ) -
another day ... another tantrum
I splurged today and bought myself a laptop and wireless printer. Took awhile to figure out how to get the laptop started, but I think I'm going to like being able to be upstairs. Now to find a way to use it without my back killing me. It has a 17 inch screen. Large enough to watch Netflix in my room when I need to escape ( Read more... ) -

UP at 4 a.m. which is time for me to watch my trash TV without Ed. Tried to discuss with him over the past week or so the dangers of driving, but he won't listen. Yesterday while at church, had several friends try to tell him the "legalities" of that decision and why it's not a good one ( Read more... ) -
New Normal
Up at 3:45 a.m., had coffee and read FB and then showered and put some face paint on and out the door by 6 a.m. to McDonald's for breakfast and then grocery shopping. It is getting easier, but Ed can still make me almost cry with his short of patience attitude and then he uses "I'm in pain" ... there is always a reason. I'm a fairly patient ( Read more... ) -

Good thing few people use LJ anymore. Yesterday morning we ended up in a screaming match with me talking and crying to my sister on the drive to work. I took a lorazepam to try to calm down. 2017 -- my new normal
It's been 2-1/2 months since my our life changed forever and during that time I don't know how many times my thought was "it would have been so much easier had you not lived through the surgery." ...not saying I wish my husband to have passed away but version 2 is not a nice person ( Read more... ) -
life changes on a dime
Ed had been having problems with a short-term loss of vision in one eye that may have lasted only a few seconds or a minute and has had problems remembering different schools and such, but until August 10 when he was in Wal-Mart and had balance and movement problems, nothing could be found. Ed found new Craft Beer....which is definitely NOT a good thing. He had 4 Mic Ultras (4.2% alcohol content), 2 Shock Top at 5.2% alcohol, 1 Oculto beer at 6% alcohol content, 2 Dragon Milk at a whopping 11% alcohol content, 1 Arrogant Bastard at 8.1% and finally a new beer that i've not seen called Mad Hatter at 7 ( Read more... ) -

I still have no job on the horizon. My resume has been re-done more times than I can count! It's being "looked at", but the job I WANT is with the school district and my application is sitting on the principal's desk....I sent an e-mail asking about the position and he responded back with "it's a process that starts at District Office"...I've ( Read more... ) -
unemployment sucks!
Geez, I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since I lost my job. Unemployment at $320 ... I don't know how Ed is making his budget work. It takes two of those checks to pay for the health insurance. Checking on line for 3 jobs a week and hoping your resume will get past the computer-generated algorithms in place is nervewracking.
