3/31/2016 was the last day of being a "medical transcriptionist". The doctor that was my employer retired, leaving me without a lucrative job. The office manager offered me a job working for 2 other physicians, but that would've meant that my best friend who has lupus and works from home would be out of a job....nope....I know one of these doctors ( Read more... ) -

new adventures on the horizon
oh yay! Found out yesterday that the doctor I work for is retiring and I'm going to be out of a job! All thes rumors go around this damn office and since I'm not in "the thick of things" and in the back of the office doing a solitary job, I never found out...until yesterday. What did I do? work woes
I just don't get it. The physician I work for has 5 days off this month, 5 days off next month and 5 days scheduled in December (not to mention the days already taken off)...and I have 15 days vacation, of which I may have 4 days left...so, I'm sitting here with my Kindle and a "loading" circle to Netflix ... hoping it will connect so I will watch ( Read more... ) -

Why can I NOT do other people's work when I see it there? We have two MA's on maternity leave, but actually have "bodies" to replace them. Two MA's have been here over a year and yet, they cannot seem to get their filing done...the charts are knee-deep to a grasshopper. Relay for Life
Yesterday was the 4th month anniversary of Sharon's passing. Kelsey TeBrink did a Relay for Life for Mizzou and I was so happy to be able to donate for her race. Sometimes it's just the little things. Another round of therapy completed!
Since my sister got her diagnosis of lung cancer on October 8, I've once again been in therapy....a "tune-up" I call it...I believe that when I hit a bump in the road that I have trouble with, it's awesome to check in with my therapist to help me through those land mines that come into my mind and lead me onto the merry-go-round ( Read more... )
