Twisting Paths of the Dungeon, Somewhere, Wednesday, Day One

Apr 10, 2013 07:42

The pathways of the dungeon had changed overnight. Anyone who had stayed in a room beyond their welcome had found themselves booted out back onto the hallways that belonged to their camp. Those doors had closed. Other doors had now opened.

As had other routes.

This door seems ordinary, but come close and you'll find it reeks of dead flesh.

Take a step through, and find yourself back near Fandom's lawn, in front of a large barricade. If you run quickly, you might reach the school or dorms and find the supplies hidden within: food left behind in the cafeteria and the common rooms, clothes lying around the rooms (though oddly, those items seem to belong to a previous generation of students). There are also berries in the bushes behind the school, and bunnies and deer still occupy the preserve.

If you run in the wrong direction, you'll run straight into that moaning mob of zombies - some of which might look familiar - might just turn you into a snack.

[ zombieverse bde! if you need an NPC, let us know. the same rules hold here as for vampverse: if you get bitten, you're a zombie for the rest of the plot. if you had a character around during the zombieverse, you are welcome to guest star them here, including if they are currently dropped. ]

"Naked." Even worse, Priestly.

Depended on the vampire. "Huh." Priestly made his way across the lobby to the stairs. Everything looked pretty copacetic -- and thoroughly abandoned. "Guess they won't get cold, at least."

"Yeah, but my eyes won't recover from the amount of bleach needed," Dean shot back.

"You need to learn a greater appreciation for the naked human -- or, you know, vampire -- form." Because Priestly totally would have been unphased by Eric or Bel, yes.

"I can appreciate it well enough without needing to see anyone's dick," Dean replied. Because have you met a more macho guy? "And, considering demons and vampires are pretty firmly on the side of screwin' over humanity, I'll go with a firm 'not my type'."

Yeah, Priestly was really pretty sure Dean was compensating for something. "Uh huh. Maybe where you're from, they are." Priestly shook his head. "In Fandom, it's usually a pretty good idea to let the thing try to kill you before you get offended by its very presence."

Navaan was batshit nuts, sure, but she was sexy and liked Priestly and as far as he knew, had no designs on any non-sexy screwing.

"I haven't ganked 'em yet, have I?" That was progress!

"How would I know? We're in different camps."

"I wouldn't have bothered to mention them if they were dead." Dean. Seriously. "Pretty sure this place will do the job for me, anyway."

He held little hope for naked demon guy. And not just because of all the devil's traps he did.

Priestly shuddered. "For some, it already has." Only Dinah hadn't started out a vampire. He tightened his grip on his makeshift stake, grimacing a little. "So, uh. Common rooms always have food in the real world. I figure it's worth a shot checking here."

"Works for me," Dean said with a shrug. He was so blasé about monsters dying. It was true. "Lead the way, high school boy."

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Priestly observed, and started leading the way up the stairs to the second floor.

Still clear. Seemed the barricade was holding up pretty well. He tried the light switch, but didn't get so much as a flicker. "Guess fridge is out." He opened a cabinet and flinched away. "And what I'm guessing used to be bread. I think we'll be stuck with canned food."

Ugh. Canned food.

"Sweet, nothing says fun times like mystery food in a can," Dean said, waggling his eyebrows from his spot in the doorway. Someone had to keep watch.

"Just hope none of it's Klingon, dude." Not that Priestly had ever tried Klingon food. Or seen it. But with the way Worf had been, he figured it had to be pretty weird. "Hey, see if you can find a backpack or something. I don't wanna be running from zombies with an armful of canned peas."

"Can always beam one of 'em in the head," Dean suggested, giving one last look down the hallway before slipping in to find something that would work as a bag.

How about a half gnawed on pillow, Priestly?
