I just got a phone call from (someone claiming to be from) the Department of Health Services conducting a survey, asking to speak to the person in the household with the most recent birthday.

I've been searching around for injury/fatality reports climbing Mt Kinabalu and, aside from your generic blisters/sprained ankles stuff you can get from climbing stairs and altitude sickness, I can find the report of exactly one death - a 17-year-old girl back in 2001 who wandered off the path and then got more lost trying to find her way back. Word count of all the RP posts I've written in November: approximately 6k.
Including that in my NaNo novel as "dream sequences" (what do you mean, you're not supposed to have lightsabers in a fantasy novel?) puts me at 42k.

Hey, I'm randomly curious
Has anyone tried to critique a religious text - any religious text, like the Bible, Quran, etc (or translations thereof, I suppose it would have to be) - on literary merit and literary merit alone? As in, disregarding the message and such, just looking at it from a litcrit point of view.
Anyone know if such a thing exists? If so, details? -

NaNo: Day ... I don't want to think about it
The Good: After not writing a word of NaNo for about a week or so, I wrote 5.4k words today. Ohh yeah. *proud* It really, really helps that the scene I'm writing right now is one I've had kicking around in my head for ages, so it's pretty easy to put down.
The Bad: I'm still about 5k behind, and I have an exam on Friday. D:
