After reading the formal announcement made by Dennis Kucinich, I decided to check out his website to see how it compared to some of there other known sites (Bush and Kerry). Since this is somewhat of a late announcement to run for President, not even a month before the election, I figured it would be somewhat sparse and maybe even something of a ( Read more... )

Actually, Kucinich was running for the presidency virtually from the beginning, earlier than Wes Clark at least. He was so far off the deep end that he never really had a chance. Even Al Sharpton did better than him.

One time on FNC, they did a story about Tom Delay was criticizing the Dem candidates -- calling Edwards and Kerry socialists, and so on. The commentators said that that was an exaggeration -- they are actually "populists." Then when Delay mentioned that one of the nominees has, in the US Congress, proposed legislation to ban the use of mind-control satellites from outerspace, the commentator just said, "that's actually true." Guess which congressman it was. Yep -- Kucinich.

As I mentioned in class- for some reason I had the impression that this guy was new to the Presidential world. Obviously I did not follow the democratic primary- though I did think he looked somewhat familiar when I saw his pic on the website. My main point from above is that his website is not up to par with a respectable Presidential candidate website. Sorry for my confusion....

Yes, Kucinich was radical. He was running as a radical protest candidate. It would be similar to the Christian Coalition running Jerry Falwell. No one expects them to do well, they are just supposed to get their message out. It's part of the reason that Kucinish never dropped out of the primary until the convention, he was still on every state ballot long after everyone else left.
