from a fire sign -- journal friending info

Apr 11, 2008 19:57

Hola. This journal is not exactly "friends-only," but sorta kinda "friends-mostly." I post most entries publicly, but then go back and f-lock them after a week or so.

Clickity-click to get the quick rundown on my journal posting and friending policies. )

Hi! Added you back.

Sorry about the f-locking thing. I'm not too happy about it -- I've met many of my LJ buds very randomly through public journals, and I love the chatty openness of it all -- but I have a few LJ/RL concerns I've gotta think through before I can have such an open journal again.

What's up at the bare-bones fic site is all that's done of Jjail so far. Someone once pointed out that if I wanted to be really cruel to James I could declare it finished as-is. ;) But, nah -- I really do wanna write the ending I see in my head for that one. Once I have time and can find the humor-smut muse again, that is.

you know, to be honest... first time i read it (which was at your site, not on LJ), i really thought that was it. it does seem a bit like an ending, there. but then i thought "nah... what author would be so cruel?"

you don't know how relieved i was to find out that wasn't all. and, i'm glad to know you're at least thinking about it. i do know what it's like to be missing one's muse... here's hoping yours returns soon! :)

just so you know, though, the story so far is brilliant. as is all your other stuff i've read.

and, i'm really sorry to hear about the RL stuff messing up your life on LJ -- that must really suck. you've got my full sympathy.

anyway, thanks a ton for adding me! i do hope we'll get to know each other better -- you seem quite cool.

(oh, and, i like your icon, by the way.)

Hi!

I became aware of you (and your awesome stories) through my newly found obsession with Potc fanfic. One author at a time...and boy have I gone through a lot recently. I was pointed over here by an icon that bathsweaver used in a response to one of my comments.

I saw that your journal was 'friend only' and took a look around. I hope that you will friend me back...not only can I read your famed fanfic and add to my obsession...but it's always nice to actually "know" a little about the person you're obsessing over because of their writing! :)

:: cheers to future commenting ::

Hola. :) I ran to see what icon you were talking about. Hee! It's one that circe_tigana made a while back (she made a bunch for assorted fanfics). I love that one so much it hurts me.

If you just wanted the fanfic, the bulk of it is here and available to anyone who wants it, no friending required. But friending is cool too, of course -- I like to get to know new people. Welcome!

So, you're posting from teh future, huh? April 11, 2008- W. will almost be out of office. Tell me, will I have finally finished my goddamfuckingbastid of a degree? What's it in? Have you won your first Oscar for screen writing? Or, hopefully, an Independent Spirit Award or Cannes' Palm D'or instead? Did I ever actually make it to Cali? HOw were the pirates sequels?

Also, we loves you just as you are. Consistency is over-rated. (And this from a Taurus, no less). ::luffs::

We of the future cannot speak of coming events to you of the past. It would irreparably tear the space-time continuum. You understand.

But omg, Johnny needs to stop with the slashtasticness before he kills my old, old bones. You vulnerable women -- and the vulnerable gay/bi men -- of the past should be warned.

Speaking of making it to Cali, I've been horribly spastic over the past couple of months, but I hope I've remembered to make it clear (and if I haven't, here I go now) that I'll always keep a space on the futon for you, whenever you get to this coast. Just gimme a holler.

Damnit, Janet! I hate trying to figure out the space-time continuum. STill not enough to turn me off the sci-fi, but...damnit.

Mmmm, slashtasticness, mmmmm....

Y'know, I'm the spastic one. ::hugs:: So sweet. I wanna come, liek, now, but it'd be tempting fate to make the trek out over break, as I'm just now more-or-less breathing. My SW ticket moolah must be used by mid-feb, and that's all class time, so I'ma thinking FL or some related, close, same-timezone place as I'll have to fit it into my class schedule.

HEY, HEY, HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY- I turn 25 in May. Riiight after the end of the spring semester. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. What better way to go (and go funded) than to convince parents to chip in as a "happy quarter-century" giftee? ::ev0l grin::

Was wondering if you had a Happy Christmas, and discovered you were posting from The Future.

*Twilight Zone music plays in head*

Hope all is well with you, and that you enjoyed very happy holidays -- in 'Bama, perhaps?

Hugs.

Oh, and btw, I was wondering why you changed your icon from Peaceful Seascape to Vicious-Looking AnaMaria.
