Would you be interested in participating in another book community?
Yes! I think I read more books this year then I ever have in a year before, and I didn't even really have a goal in mind. Which means I won't mind if the goal disappears, but I really liked seeing what everyone else was reading and getting a chance to talk about what I'd read. I don't belong to very many communities, but this is my favorite.
What was your favorite book to read this year? My favorite (new) book read this year was The Icarus Hunt by Timothy Zahn.
I really appreciated this community. I had gotten out of the habit of reading, and joining other readers made me realize what I had been missing.
I passed the 50 mark some time ago and decided to aim for 100. I'm at 97, and with the holidays, I might not reach it, but I'm happy that I've read some wonderful books.
This year, I finally had the excuse to explore the Harry Potter phenomenon, and read through the series. Other books that were the best of my reading list:
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle The Princess Bride by William Goldman Tomorrow’s Children edited by Isaac Asimov To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Dracula by Bram Stoker The Good Earth by Pearl Buck O. Henry ala Carte by O. Henry Watership Down by Richard Adams
It would be difficult to pick my favorite of those, but I suppose I'll settle it by saying that everyone should read To Kill a Mockingbird, and I wish I owned Tomorrow's ChildrenTerry Pratchett was a new author to me, and I feel in love with his humorous and witty Discworld series (after you get

I love to have another community for next year, this one has been really useful in keeping track of what and when I read. Plus I love reading other people's posts to add the books to my Amazon wishlist :)
I would like to have another community next year, but I'm not going to have any reading goals. I'm very proud that I met the 50 goal, but there were some times when I felt like I had to read, and I don't like that feeling. I definitely want to keep reading, however - it's one of my favorite things to do and I hate whenever I'm not in the middle of a book.
I already tried to figure out my favorite books for the year, and I had to divide it into categories: Favorite Star Wars book: Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn Favorite book: Harry Potter (all of them) Best-written book: The Foundation Trilogy
Thanks to my reading, I am now a Harry Potter fan. I also discovered Isaac Asimov, and next year I plan to read more of his books, including the Robot series. I might also read some more Orson Scott Card. And of course, I already loved Timothy Zahn, but I intend to read some more of his non-Star Wars books.
