problem: when bands start gaining radio attention they also start selling out the little places and moving onto bigger venues full of people with less and less intelligence. you start getting the jr high kids that reach for the shirts they wear to goto 'concerts.' now i know the scene kids aren't much better but at least theres less of em. heh. anyways, to me if a band is good its good, but i'd much rather see a good band at capitol garage rather then a packed show at the boardwalk.
solution: listen to mindless self indulgence, enough homo-gay bashing with curse words in one song to be banned from any respectable radio station for life.

Problem: Stupid asses are too caught up in the "image" of music and not enough are caught up in its "soul". i dont understand why it matters that some one who isnt "cool" likes the same music as you do. The little girls with blink-182 shirts could like fugazi for the same reason you do: they make good music. but no, god forbid they should shatter your fragile little globe of coolness. Music shouldnt be about who's right it should be about what YOU like.
Solution: Kill yourself.

quote from other post
"anyways, to me if a band is good its good, but i'd much rather see a good band at capitol garage rather then a packed show at the boardwalk."
it doesn't matter who is packing the show, as i already explained that most 'scene kids' are just as lame as most 'radio kids.' i just prefer small venues with smaller crowds to bigger venues with big sweaty crowds.
your most annoyingly long-winded post yet!tarynaliMarch 4 2004, 08:54:29 UTC
not a direct response to my post, but nonetheless! i know what's on the radio because i don't have a cd player in my car. it's not about who's getting ripped off. good bands get played on the kwod and their shows overfill with screaming 13 year old girls in Blink-182 shirts. i'm sure you'd enjoy a fugazi show full of that.
and, um, there goes all the motivation i had to argue with you, so i'll just end this now.
fugazi would never be played on the radio solution! don't listen to bands that will sell out. if they do, stop supporting them. i don't know a lot about the recording 'industry' but i think selling out is mostly controlled by the bands themselves.
