More for A Study In Moonlight, aka "Aspie Girl Holmes and Werewolf Girl Watson have adventures in modern Western Washington." The first story is character introductions and little slice of life sketches, and very dialog-heavy. "Tamanous of the Brackenwoods" is my take on Hound of the Baskervilles and has an attempt at an actual plot. -

I'm beginning to suspect that Mark Vorkosigan is one of those characters who merits his own trigger warning. (Although in this case it's not really his fault.)
It's a really good book, don't get me wrong, and not gratuitously grimdark overall. There were just a fair number of "ouch, that's messed up..." moments. -

Even if you don't care about decency or civility, I promise, there are far more convincing rhetorical tactics out there -

I had my first day as a para-educator sub today. It mostly went well, except I can't work the school copy machine for crap. It has a rather elaborate high-tech interface that doesn't follow quite the same rules as any other copier I've used before, and I am no techpriest at the best of times.
