It's unspecified, but an earlier one ate a planet - although it was created within the planet itself, so that's understandable.

If memory serves, you need a black hole that is about marble-sized if you want something that'll eventually be able to eat a planet.

Well, DS9 had all of the time stuff and by the time they got heavy into the time stuff, I'd stopped watching it for various reasons. There /was/ a time division of StreFleet, though, and that alone sort of plays to there being the possibility of divergent time lines.

In Trek, there are multiple timelines, but generally speaking, if you go back and alter the past, you do not create a divergent new timeline like in Marvel Comics, you alter the future you came from.
