The trip to the ballet was both pleasant and unexpected, though delayed by Quatre's happy awakening and my desire to visit him. It is such a relief to see him on the mend! I have no words.

There was a remarkable happiness last night in the impromptu party the Mining Union threw in the mess- there are a staggering number of musicians here, and they played together like some form of replenishing organism.
