Yesterday, I decided to finally give some meds a try. I had always been against the idea, but I thought I might as well give it a shot. Sertraline, 50mg (Zoloft). Four to six hours later, I REALLY wished I didnt. Last night was real harsh, today has been even harsher. Urgh, and to think that Sam has it WORSE than this. Never mind walking a mile in ( Read more... )

Just be careful, at the very least, and look to the people around you for changes in attitude and focus that you may not notice yourself.

Really, you should give things 1-2 weeks to equal out and be sure of actual effectiveness, but if it is that much of a trouble, it is either too much, or just not the drug for you.

I will note that I do not endorse meds, if at all possible, especially for children and teenagers (due to unknown hormone levels) but for adults as well, but I respect the rights for one to do what they wish with their own body, as well as their own happiness.

I stress again, please be careful, and take criticism of others as to a change in yourself.

Generally, I never liked the idea of meds either. I think im fine without them, and yet there are things that dont seem right even to me. I've given myself years to try work it out, trying to out-think it all, trying to overcome with willpower, and i've made no progress. I decided to give them a shot to see how I fare on them, because at this rate i'll just end up sitting my life out as just an observer.

Im going to give it a few weeks, go a little beyond the minimum timespan before they start to take effect, then take it from there. Yeah, the last kind of tablet apparently just had a 'bad reaction' to me. They've put me on a different type, and got a doctors appointment to check up and see how I feel. Anyway, what kind of personal experience do you have with these things, then? Or what have you observed them to do, in friends, etc?

Most of my experience is from when I was a child/teenager,so hyped on druggs, I seemed onstantly high. How most people never noticed that I was high, I will never know, but that is the way of it.

Suffice to say that if you are signifigantly different, that is something to look at. If it is a good change, all the better. Otherwise, obviously for the worse is bad. If it gets to the point that you are staring at the wall for hours on end, that is undoubtably a bad thing. (Yes, it really does get that bad for some.)

Oh, hi. So, I see that you haven't been around these parts in about two years but I thought I might try anyway. Seems I'm having a very hard time catching you on MSN. That guy up there, the immediate post above me thought it might be a decent idea to try to lure you out- er... try to get in touch with you here. Lemme know if you're still around here!
