Someone's written a fic where the Doctor is just Calvin (from Calvin & Hobbes) all grown up, right? Or where Calvin has a broken pocket watch buried in the debris of his room and is secretly a Time Lord?
...And yes, I did get this idea from the quote describing the Doctor and the Tardis as "a boy and his box."
