Trying to explain "context" to a student who did not grow up speaking a Latin-based language is challenging.
Trying to explain it to my Spanish-speaking students should be easier but many of them do not recognize the Spanish word "con" in the word "context".

Would you look at that?  7:35pm and I have finished all of my marking.  Doing a little bit every day instead of letting it pile up until the day before grades are due seems to have some advantages.

I chose stability over uncertainty.  Turns out uncertainty was better.
Regulation 274 makes returning, even to uncertainty, extremely difficult.
Stability I have, but it does not pay the bills.  Instead my debts grow.

There are probably as many things written about the value of the like button on facebook as there are "likes" of various things.  The previous sentence is hyperbole but I want to acknowledge that I am walking well-traveled ground.
