it is something i should have learned a really long time ago. but i am only now getting used to the fact that you can't always say what you really want to say. that there's nothing you can do to make someone care if they don't.

i took this on the beach in negril march 26th, 2007, while hanging out with our new friends. i thought it was very symbolic, the tides of time washed away the moments. sigh, i miss paradise :( .

assignment: 1'X4' piece to show the horrors of the current genocide in darfur. non representational. 2-d or 3-d. my response: create a rib-like "spine" of foam core, stretch unprimed canvas over to create body bag/terrain like structure, and finish by pouring blood-colored wash over the thing and letting it drip.

oh man, i am screwed. i have a project due in three hours that i have no chance in hell of finishing. also, i have essays and essays due thursday. and i have missed too many art history classes. i cannot keep up with the rigors of this schedule. oh jamaica, save me.
