So I was looking forward to this show, because I love greek mythology. After seeing episode 1, I'm very disappointed.

Sorry to hear that you did not like the show Francy! Normally I'd say try it out for longer just in case, but if the mythology is so messed up it might be best to stop before it gets worse.*hug*

Uhm I watched the mini-series and the first three episodes... Considering the mini-series is 3 hours thats actually more time than the normal 4-5 episodes I give a show.

Lol as soon as I heard it was by the flop, talentless team behind Merlin I lost any possible interest in it--Merlin was enough TV suffering and bad writing to last me a lifetime! And it sounds from another friend that it is mainly "rinse and repeat" but with different names in the roles of the characters? I bet that is why the mythology is so messed up--they were probably trying to recreate the Merlin cast of characters in the new setting.

Maybe it was!! But it didn't work for me at all. I love silly, I'm a big fan of it... but even silly has to be well done. This was just awful! Many people seem to have liked it.... good for them! This is clearly a show I cannot appreciate! :/

I'm sorry to hear it disappointed you so much - I did fear the worst after seeing the trailers for the show, which looked to be all hype and not much substance. It's a shame - they've got some strong actors on the cast, who I'd love to see in something good. But alas Atlantis looks to be the Beeb's version of Sky One's Sinbad from last year, which was much the same - lightweight, anachronistic, flashy and shallow.

Oh, well, I have already so many shows to watch, so maybe it's for the better!! :)
