New job is with NCO Financial, in commercial collections. Today was orientation, in which forms were filled out and initial FDCPA training was completed (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). It is very likely that I'll be kinda scarce on here for a while. No idea what kinda access I'll have at the new place, but my assumption is NONE, so...

More details, when I catch my breath, OK? Just trust that this is a good thing. I'm pleased. Of the current crop of options, this was my first choice.

So, yesterday, thanks to my computer parts fairy godfather, I got a working burner installed on my home machine. The old one had crapped out about a month ago. For some reason, this particular burner (the new one) would read, but not burn, when installed on a mac. Works just fine on a PC ( Read more... )
