Hi Folks.

I just had a conversation with the doctor last week about BV but didn't have the time to spend with him to ask in depth about it's effects on fertility and conception. In particular I'm curious about overgrowth of Strep. Does anyone have any information on it?

On the fertility front, I had it pretty easy. It took 5 years to get to the IVF stage, but once we did, I got pregnant (and stayed that way) on my first round the first time, and (with ICSI) on my second round the second time, 2 years later. I had an ectopic pregnancy four years ago and was treated though drugs to resolve it....unfortunately that left scar tissue behind that only grew worse over time....for eight months I was in agonizing pain and missing whole stretches of work at a time...and I was so lucky that I had understanding housemates and a second income.
