So I met these kids from Frederick Douglass High School today and I was so glad I did. Because whenever I get into arguements with people about affirmative action and such, they are always like no they have the same chance as we do, it's not fair that we get discriminated against, etc, etc, they could have the oppurtunity to come to Franklin and ( Read more... )

i agree completely. especially about the sudan situation. We HAVE to do something and im sick of just saying it and not doing anything.
The scene in hotel rwanda when the media man tells him that people will watch the horrible tapes of the streets and say eeek and then change the channel is soo true and so disappointing.
maybe we can get our savp program for jyg to be about it or something, so that we are doing something? we have to do something!

We have talked about the red cross orphan lady before and I think you should do it. You would be great.
And, please please please write that story for the paper. David is way big on controversial opinion pieces. We're doing a 4 pg feature issue out in like two or three weeks that all about diversity so maybe somehow it could fit there?
And don't worry about Ms Christian. Mr Peterson's motto as he has told me a million times is "It's always easier to get forgiveness than permission." So he'll stick it to the man and put it in there anyway.
