If you haven't read anything by Jasper Fforde (yes, I meant Fforde, not Forde), you might want to give him a look. "The Eyre Affair" was nothing short of brilliant, and the two follow up books were fantastic. I'm reading the third follow up now.

I wasn't so into Something's Rotten, but REALLY like the first. Looking forward to reading the Humpty Dumpty one once it gets into work.

Did you go directly from Eyre Affair to Something Rotten? It would make life easier if you read Lost in a Good Book and .... uhhh.... the other one... in between. :)

I've got the Humpty Dumpty one now. I'll keep you posted, but I've heard it's quite good.

No, I've read them all. I don't know if he's going to keep going with the characters, but they're kinda getting boring for me. I really like his writing style and subject matter, but the storyline seemed to stagnate.
